How to set up and care

Inflate the outer ring to about 60 to 80 percent full (air pump not included), then fill the inner pad with water to about 60 to 80 percent full. Pull the insulating tab out of the light and remote before first use, then twist the light on. After play, drain the water, wipe the mat with a damp cloth and fold it flat. Do not over-inflate it, keep it away from heat and sharp objects, and stay nearby while your cat plays, especially the first few times.

Will my cat's claws pop it?

The mat is made from thickened 0.6 mm PVC to stand up to pawing, and a repair patch is included. Like any inflatable, it is not indestructible, so supervise play and trim claws regularly.

Do I need a pump?

A pump is not included. You can inflate the outer ring by mouth or with any small air pump. It only needs to be 60 to 80 percent full.

Can I use warm water?

Yes. The manufacturer says warm water must stay below 107.6°F (42°C). Always test the surface with your hand before your cat uses it.

Is it only for cats?

It is designed for cats and kittens. The manufacturer says small dogs can use it too, as long as play stays gentle.
